Personal search training breakdown (2 days)

Searches (such as local authority and water & drainage searches) are required by conveyancing professionals for every residential and commercial property sale. Additionally, searches are a mandatory component of a HIP, which are now required for every home that is put on the market for sale in England & Wales (approx 1.5 million per year).

Aimed at new entrants to the industry, this section of the training programme has been designed to provide the knowledge and understanding necessary to carry out accurate and comprehensive personal searches for Home Information Packs (to HIP Code / Search Code standard) to enable delegates to offer cost-efficient HIP solutions. In addition, delegates will also gain an appreciation of the procedures and requirements necessary to operate as a personal search agent, which is a multi-million pound industry in itself.

HIPs training breakdown (1 day, plus distance learning)

Since the full rollout of Home Information Packs (HIPs) on December 14th 2007, every home that is put on the market for sale in England and Wales now requires a HIP. The Pack includes a number of documents including an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), local searches, a sale statement and evidence of title. The main purpose of the HIP is to help show potential purchasers how to cut carbon emissions and fuel bills, whilst also helping to speed up the sale process and reduce the number of house sales that fall through.
With an estimated 1.5 million homes per year needing a HIP, this section of the training will teach you how to compile HIP Code compliant packs and provide you with access to an online software system which will allow you to produce complete Home Information Packs and compete as a HIP provider. And because HIPs are required for properties when they go onto the market (hence they are ordered before the property can be advertised), it doesn't matter if house prices rise or fall, or even if the property sells at all!
